New Investor Profile - A Trend Focused on Education and Quality of Life
Real estate investments made from Turkey to overseas reached $793 million in the first quarter of 2025, while the motivation behind these investments has also changed. Investors are no longer solely seeking financial returns; they are prioritising goals such as providing their children with a better education, improving their quality of life and gaining global freedom of movement.
Rising living costs, economic fluctuations and the search for a sustainable future are making alternative lifestyles and investment models, particularly in Europe, attractive to Turkish investors. This picture reveals that Turkey is not only a country with capital outflows, but also stands out on the global stage as a ‘real estate investor’.
Teuta Narazan, Founding Partner of Vesta Global, assesses this trend, stating, ‘Increasing global uncertainties are directing individuals and families towards building a more stable and planned future. Today, investment programmes that grant residency rights in Europe represent not only economic returns but also lifestyle, security, and prestige.’
According to Narazan, countries such as Latvia, Malta, Portugal and Greece are among the leading options for investment-based residency programmes. The rights granted in these countries are not limited to property acquisition; they also offer free movement within the Schengen area, access to high-standard healthcare services and the opportunity to enrol in international educational institutions.
Industry representatives emphasise that investment is no longer just an economic tool, but also part of a long-term life plan. In Narazan's words, this approach is seen as ‘not just property investment, but an investment in the future.’
