Argentina is preparing to offer foreign investors the opportunity to apply for citizenship with amounts starting from $350,000. The new program envisages two options: a non-refundable contribution and an investment in public bonds. The program, which has not yet opened for applications, has also made its way onto the agenda of the international investment migration industry. The founding partners of Turkey-based Vesta Global will attend an international meeting to be held in Buenos Aires to evaluate the new model.
Argentina is preparing to launch a citizenship-by-investment program in order to attract foreign capital to the country.

With the new model announced by the administration of President Javier Milei, foreign investors will be able to apply for Argentine citizenship by making a contribution or investment of specified amounts.

The program, announced by Argentine Economy Minister Luis Caputo, is planned to open for applications shortly.

TWO OPTIONS FOR THE $350,000 PROGRAM

Investors will be offered two alternatives under the program.

The first option envisages a non-refundable contribution of $350,000 to the Argentine National Treasury.

Under the second option, investors will be able to invest in an $800,000 public bond to be created under the program.

Applicants' financial histories and security status will be reviewed. Making an investment alone will not mean that citizenship will be granted.
